This explains exactly what MyBhummi collects, why, who else sees it, and how long we keep it. It describes what the software actually does, not what a template says it might.
1. What we collect
When you check a plot
- Location. The coordinates you search for, share, or allow your browser to provide. Used to find the parcel and the village; kept with your order so a report can be reproduced.
- Land details. District, mandal, village, survey and khata numbers you select, and any plot number, extent or client name you type into the report header.
When you pay
- Payment identifiers. The Razorpay order and payment id, and the amount. We record what was bought so we can honour it.
- We never see your card, UPI id or bank details. Those are collected by Razorpay in their own checkout and never reach our servers.
When you request an Encumbrance Certificate
- Your name, and an email address or WhatsApp number — whichever you choose — plus any note you add. Used only to send you the EC and to follow up about it.
Automatically
- Server logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP address, time and the page or endpoint requested. Used for security and debugging.
2. What we do not collect
- Photographs stay on your device. If you photograph a pattadar passbook or ROR-1B, the text is read in your own browser. The image is never uploaded to us.
- No government portal credentials. We never ask for them and the service does not use them.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookie we set identifies your session with the Bhu Bharati portal so a captcha you answer stays valid. It is functional and expires with your session.
- No accounts. You do not create one, so we hold no password.
3. Who else your data reaches
- Government portals (Bhu Bharati, IGRS, DTCP/HMDA, ISRO Bhuvan) receive the land identifiers needed to run each query — district, mandal, village, survey number, coordinates. They do not receive your name or contact details.
- Razorpay processes payments under their own privacy policy.
- Map and geocoding services (OpenStreetMap-derived) receive coordinates or place names in order to return a location.
- Our hosting provider stores logs as described above.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for marketing.
4. How long we keep it
- EC requests — until the request is fulfilled and any follow-up is closed, then up to 12 months for our own records.
- Payment records — as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs — short-lived, per our hosting provider's retention.
- Reports are generated on demand. We do not keep a copy of your downloaded PDF.
5. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to erase it, withdraw consent you previously gave, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to ⚠ TO BE FILLED: grievance@mybhumicare.com and we will respond within the period the law allows.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and payment verification is cryptographically signed. No system is perfectly secure, and we hold as little personal data as the service allows — which is the most effective protection we can offer you.
7. Children
The service is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Grievance officer
⚠ TO BE FILLED: full name of the grievance officer
⚠ TO BE FILLED: grievance@mybhumicare.com
⚠ TO BE FILLED: registered postal address, including city, state and PIN
9. Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and the last-updated date above will tell you when.
